Undoubtedly, something is going on in the once-peaceful late-1980s town of Derry, Maine, as a seemingly endless string of violence, murder, and unaccountable child disappearances terrorise the small community. Nevertheless, is the malevolent bright-eyed demon, indeed, the nightmarish creature that horrifies Derry? Either way, the otherworldly entity needs to feed, and the young team of defenders are no match for him. Do they have what it takes to face IT?

Like many other users wrote, the scary element is a bit less in this one. Though u might have a moment or two but that's pretty much about it. Another element is over use of strong language by the young cast, therefore, a little warning.

With so much advance tech many scenes could have been made better.

But then again it was my childhood movie being remade, all that came back was that era being scared with a smile.

A good weekend watch.

I know a movie can't be perfect but i was this close to giving IT a 10.

The imagination of the scares was great. Bill Skarsgaard plays an incredibly menacing Pennywise. The scenes with the kids bonding told the story succinctly without a lot of film.

I loved the pacing, that the writers kept much of King's source material.

At no point did it feel cheesy, I was fully expecting it to be but was pleasantly surprised.

The effects were incredible, little Georgie mutating at the end of the movie into Pennywise was effing fantastic.

I'm sure on a second watch I'll change my mind, but at first glance this film is outstanding and a top contender for scariest movies this decade.

I fell asleep watching this film. It's just bad. Skarsgard was awful, and the kids annoying. Will stick to the TV movie.

All the kids are amazing, but stan and Mike dont get a lot of screen time, also the rock fight suck

And Bill Skarsgard is very good as pennywise.
